Meeting Reminder

Just a few reminders...

We have our meeting with the Brownie Troop tomorrow (Friday ~ 3/30). The meeting will be from 6pm - 8pm and will be held at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jamison.

We have our next Lip Sync Rehearsal on Saturday (3/31) at 9am in Cianna's house.

R.S.V.P. deadline for Build a Bear is this Saturday (3/31). If you have not R.S.V.P.d yet for your Daisy, please do so as soon as possible.

Meeting Seven ~ 3/23/12

At this meeting, we got to see a presentation from the Bucks County Dairy Princess. The Daisies learned about the importance of eating healthy and they even got to make some tasty butter.

We also read a Daisy Flower Garden Story where we learned about "Respecting Myself and Others". The Daisies talked about some things that they can do in their lives to respect themselves and others. They each received a goody bag with soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a hair brush. With this lesson they were able to earn their Dark Purple petal  (Respecting Myself and Others).

We also talked about our Cookie Sales. The Daisies were asked if selling cookies was something that showed they were strong and courageous. We all agreed that their participation in the Cookie Sale would allow them to earn their Red petal (Courageous and Strong).

We also discussed the Brownie Uniform for next year. The Daisies were allowed to vote for whether they wanted the Brownie Vest or the Brownie Sash. The final vote was 5 for the vest and 2 for the sash. Although, the troop decided that they didn't mind if some had the sash and some had the vest.

We will not be doing the Girl Scouts Forever Green event on April 21st. I was able to get a Junior Girst Scout troop to come to our May 25th meeting and they will be talking to the girls about going green, so that they can earn their green petal.

Meeting Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that our next meeting is scheduled for this Friday. We are back at our usual location and time.

Paree is scheduled to be Snack Buddy this week.

Also, if your Daisy is interested in the Sweetheart Dance please bring your registration and payment to the meeting on Friday.

We will also need your payment for Lip Sync. It is $4 per person with kids under 10 being free. The troop will be covering the price of the Daisies.

Meeting with Brownie Troop

One of the requirements for bridging to Brownies is that our Daisies need to meet with a Brownie troop. We orginally had scheduled our meeting with a Brownie troop for April 13th, but we needed to reschedule it due to Sweetheart Dance.

Girl Scouts Forever Green

100th Anniversary Take Action Project

For Daisies, Brownies, and Junior girl scouts

(space limited to 30 scouts)

To educate other scouts about ways that they can improve the environment and protect the Earth's natural resources.

Date: Saturday, April 21st from 2 - 4:30 pm

at Warwick Community Park, Pavilion #1

Tentative Cost: $6.00 per scout

(includes all supplies, a patch, a reusable water bottle, snack, and drink)

Since space is limited to only 30 scouts. We will want to register as soon as possible.

Admission: Adults $4.00 , Children (10 and under free)

Please send me an email with how many tickets you will need for this event. Make sure you specify the number of adults and children (don't include your Daisy in this number). You can pay by cash or check (made out to Girl Scout Troop 21870) and the payment can be turned in to me at the next meeting (3/23).

World Bazaar Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that World Bazaar will be taking place this Friday!

Here is the schedule for the night:

 

Troop set up crew reports at 6:10

Rest of troop 6:20

Opening Ceremony promptly at 6:30

First rotation 6:40 - 7:45

Parade of Nations and Pin Ceremony 7:45

Second rotation 8 - 9

Closing ceremony 9PM

Clean up following closing ceremony

 

Please arrive at 6:15 p.m. since many of you will still need to add your information to the presentation board.

 

If you will be bringing drinks to the event, please make sure they are cold. If you have a small cooler to keep them cold that would be helpful as well.

 

We have just been informed that there will be another event at CB South that night, so they are asking for people to park in the right side of the parking lot and to carpool if possible.

Brownies

It's time to start thinking about whether your Daisy would like to bridge with us to Brownies. The Bridging ceremony is scheduled for July 14th.

I would like to know how many of our Daisies will be continuing on to Brownies. So, I would appreciate it if you could let me know if your Daisy will continuing with the troop for next year.

If your Daisy will be continuing on to Brownies, the first purchase will be for their Brownie uniform. I will be placing in order at the end of May for the new uniforms. If you would like for me to order one for you it will be $34.00.

I will accept payment for the uniform until May 11.
